Kaitiakitanga - Bug Motel

For my Kaitiakitanga concept I was focusing on making a bug motel to help attract bees and other bugs. I find this important because these bugs help pollinate plants. Have a look at my presentation.

kaitiakitanga Concept - Animal Regeneration

What is your topic? Our topic is researching and learning about weta motels.  We researched about wetas and  found out that they are endangered, so we decided to build a home for them. Our weta motels have some hangers for the food and we have put some wood, so the wetas don't fall off. We can open it so we can feed them. There is some little holes for all of the wetas to get in. Our Weta Motel is roomy and fun has holes to find little friends through. We will attracted wetas with flowers and food. They eat apples, carrots and flowers they will enjoy this food. and within a month all our rooms will be booked out.

Coming up - Celebration of Learning - Wednesday 12th April, 2017 - Te Oro Music and Arts Centre, Glen Innes

On Wednesday 12th April from 9am - 3pm, some of our learners will have the opportunity to showcase their learning throughout the day, alongside others within the Manaiakalani cluster.

Our Kapa Haka and along with our Pasifika group will perform on the day. This event gives our Pasifika group their first opportunity to perform outside our school, so it would be great if Whānau were able to attend and support all our learners. Please save this day in your calendar. We hope to see you all there.

Kapa Haka will be performing 12:15 - 12:25pm
Pasifika will be performing 12:35 - 12:45pm

There are other performances from across the cluster which can be viewed also throughout the day. Displays from across the cluster can be viewed from 9 - 3pm.
